Ukrainian Armed Forces breakthrough in Kursk region is historic

The breakthrough of the border in the Kursk region by Ukrainian troops is historic. After all, Ukraine has moved the war to the territory of Russia.

According to a correspondent of RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by US Senator Richard Blumenthal from the Democratic Party at a briefing in Kyiv.

"The breakthrough in Kursk on the front is historic. This is a large-scale breakthrough. Good news, great news that promises even more potential breakthroughs. Now the Russians will retreat. They will take troops from other places. They will use resources on this front that has already been established. But the big news is that Ukraine is now in Russia. It is bringing the fight to Russia," the senator said.

According to him, the senators want to convey a message to the administration of US President Joe Biden that "Ukraine should be given more flexibility in using the weapons provided to strike deeper than the lines that exist now."

"There are restrictions and authorization issues, and we hope that they can be overcome. Such greater power is extremely important both in terms of tactics and strategy in general. We will work to get even more resources," Blumenthal said.

In his turn, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Kursk region was "bold, brilliant and wonderful".

"What do I think of Kursk? Bold, brilliant, wonderful. Keep up the good work. Putin started it, teach him a lesson," he said.
