Ukrainian soldiers shoot down two Russian aircraft with MANPADS
Today, in the Zaporizhzhya sector, the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed two Su-25 ("Rook") attack aircraft of the Russian occupiers. The press service of the National Guard of Ukraine reported this on its Facebook page in the evening.
"Su-25s" were working in pairs and both became targets for portable air defense systems. The first "Rook" was immediately destroyed by an accurate shot, but its pilot managed to eject over the occupied territory.
The second plane managed to reach the airfield in occupied Melitopol after being hit, but the landing was an emergency. It was then that locals heard powerful explosions and saw puffs of black smoke, as reported earlier. Most likely, this means that the second Su-25 was destroyed as well.
By the way, the second Su-25 was shot down by a fighter with the pseudonym "Zaporizhzhia Avenger", for whom this is the seventh destroyed invader aircraft.
