US and Bulgaria to cooperate in countering disinformation
The United States and Bulgaria have agreed to strengthen cooperation to counter foreign information manipulation operations.
This was reported by the US State Department, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
The United States and Bulgaria have signed a memorandum of understanding that lays the groundwork for a joint fight against the spread of disinformation and manipulation, which is an increasingly urgent threat to Central and Eastern Europe.
The parties declare their intention to develop common approaches to better understand foreign disinformation and to develop cooperation mechanisms to counter this threat.
The cooperation will include state-level solutions, support for civil society in this area, and multilateral cooperation.
