The United States denies that Israel and Hamas are currently close to a U.S.-brokered agreement to pause hostilities and release hostages.
According to RBC-Ukraine, this was reported on Twitter by the White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson.
"We have not yet reached an agreement, but we continue to work hard to reach one," she said.
It is worth noting that earlier the media reported on a possible agreement between Israel and the Gaza Strip, which provides for a ceasefire for at least five days, and the first 50 or more hostages out of 239 will be released in batches every 24 hours.
Also, the cessation of hostilities was supposed to increase the volume of humanitarian aid, including fuel, coming to the Gaza Strip from Egypt.
