The United States is distrustful of the statements of Russia and North Korea that there are no arms deals between the countries.

This was stated by the coordinator of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, RBC-Ukraine reports citing his video briefing.

"We saw comments after Kim Jong Un's meeting, comments from the Kremlin that the deal was not announced. We're going to take that with distrust and watch," Kirby said.

According to him, any such agreement would be a violation of UN Security Council resolutions. He also assured that the United States will certainly continue to talk with its partner countries at the UN about how to work together to hold Moscow and Pyongyang accountable if they move forward with arms sales.

As a reminder, on September 13, the dictators of the DPRK and Russia, Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin met. They visited the Vostochny Cosmodrome, Russia's most modern spaceport in the Amur region.
