The U.S. State Department has announced a two billion dollar loan to Poland to modernize the country's defense capabilities.
This is reported by Yevropeiska Pravda with reference to the State Department's press service.
"Poland is a staunch ally of the United States, and its security is vital to the collective defense of NATO's eastern flank," the statement said.
The State Department also noted that Poland "has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to strengthening regional security" through significant investments in defense.
The department also emphasized the importance of Poland's efforts to modernize, including rearming its army from Soviet systems to Western ones.
