According to anonymous sources, the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden is in urgent talks with Congress to allow it to use $5.6 billion in military aid to Ukraine by September 30, the end of the federal fiscal year.

At the same time, another part of the aid will include $2.4 billion under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative program, which allows the administration to buy weapons for Ukraine from companies rather than taking them from U.S. weapons stockpiles.

At today's press briefing, Deputy Pentagon Spokesperson Sabrina Singh said that Ukraine will receive all the assistance that was provided for the rest of US President Joe Biden's term.

“I don't have any official announcements on that yet, but I can tell you that we are committed to ensuring that Ukraine receives the resources that Congress has authorized,” she said.
