Will F-16s help break through Russian defense in Ukraine?

The use of F-16 fighters by Ukrainian troops plays a very serious role and will definitely be reflected at the front. To break through the occupiers' defenses, an operation will need to be planned.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the head of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash, during a telethon.

"Aviation alone, without infantry and tank units, does not play such a key role. Of course, all this should be combined with preliminary planning of coordinated actions of partners, our allies, and neighbors who are directly involved on the left and right," he said in a statement.

Yevlash explained that this should be a planned operation combined with new weapons that are still coming in. The military will also have to use high-precision long-range weapons such as HIMARS, as well as Storm Shadow/SCALP EG missiles.
