The Hungarian airline Wizz Air has apologized for mentioning Abkhazia as a separate state in its in-flight magazine and corrected the mistake.
This was reported by Georgia Online.
Earlier, information was spread on social media about the mention of the Georgian region of Abkhazia as an independent state in the printed and online versions of the airline's in-flight magazine.
The Association of Georgian Airports, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Georgian Embassy in Budapest, appealed to the airline, and as a result, Wizz Air corrected the error in the online version of the in-flight magazine and apologized.
Now it still needs to correct the incorrect wording in the printed version of the magazine.
According to the Hungarian low-cost airline, the airline has nothing to do with the content of the magazine, which is being developed by an independent group.
