Chinese leader Xi Jinping met French President Emmanuel Macron in Beijing. They will hold talks.

"French President Emmanuel Macron was received by his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Beijing on Thursday, April 6, 2023, before their talks at the People's Palace," the report said.
As a reminder, yesterday, April 5, French President Emmanuel Macron began his three-day visit to China.
On the first day of his state visit, the French president said that Beijing can play a "major role" in finding a path to peace in Ukraine.
We should add that on the eve of his visit to China, Macron had a telephone conversation with his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden. During which the sides discussed the importance of engaging Beijing to speed up the end of the war in Ukraine.
