Zaporizhzhia NPP completely de-energized: what is the threat?

The Zaporizhzhia NPP is completely de-energized due to an overnight attack by Russian troops. This happened for the seventh time and threatens an accident with radiation consequences for the entire world.
This is reported with reference to the press service of Energoatom.
"As a result of terrorist shelling by the Russians on the night of May 22, at 5:26 a.m. the last high-voltage transmission line Dnieper 750kV, from which the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP was fed for its own needs," the message reads.
It is indicated that for the seventh time since the beginning of the occupation of the Ukrainian plant by the Russians (March 4, 2022), ZNPP goes into blackout mode.
"After the loss of external power, vital to ensure the operation of the nuclear material cooling pumps of the power units, all diesel generators of the NPP have turned on in automatic mode, the stock of fuel is enough for ten days. The countdown has begun," warned Energoatom.-
It is noted that if it is impossible to resume external power supply to the plant during this time, there could be an accident with radiation consequences for the entire world.
