Zelensky confirms Ukraine's receipt of first F-16s

The number of F-16s and pilots that Ukraine currently has is not enough. But Kyiv expects to receive additional fighters.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to an RBC-Ukraine correspondent.

"I have no right to tell you in detail what tasks the F-16s will perform or have already performed. But in any case, the number of F-16s we have in Ukraine, the number of pilots who have been trained, is not enough," he said.

At the same time, according to the President, the positive thing is that Ukraine expects an additional number of F-16s.

"The positive thing is that many of our guys are now training. Different formats, different stages. I really believe that our partners will be able to expand this - a training platform for our pilots, engineers, etc.", Zelenskyy said.
