President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accepted an invitation to attend the NATO summit in Vilnius in July, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.

He said this upon arriving at a meeting in the Ramstein format in Germany on April 21, a Yevropeiska Pravda correspondent reports.

"President Zelenskyy and I discussed preparations for the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius in July. I invited him to attend the meeting, and I am pleased that he accepted the invitation and will participate in the NATO summit in Vilnius," Stoltenberg said.

The NATO Secretary General also commented on journalists' remarks that Ukraine has made concrete steps towards its membership a condition for President Zelenskyy's participation in the summit.

"As I said yesterday in Kyiv, Ukraine's future lies in the Euro-Atlantic family. All NATO Allies have agreed that Ukraine will become a NATO member. But the main focus now, of course, is on how to ensure that Ukraine gains an advantage (in the war - Ed.). Our support helps Ukraine to move towards Euro-Atlantic integration, our assistance allows them to make this possible," the Secretary-General added.
