During a visit to Prague, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed arms supplies and joint production with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala.
Zelenskyy said this at a press conference in the Czech capital on Friday, according to a Yevropeiska Pravda correspondent.
"We have paid considerable attention, of course, to defense issues. Thank you for understanding our needs, in particular in shells and artillery, in armored vehicles, as well as in the work on air defense systems. We clearly realize that Czech leadership is not inferior to other countries in defense support," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, he discussed with Fiala not only the supply of weapons but also new production.
"Our states can significantly strengthen cooperation between the military-industrial complexes, and this will be done. We talked about specific projects on shells and military equipment," the Head of State said.
According to him, on Friday, a memorandum of cooperation in the field of military-technical cooperation was signed in Prague between the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Strategic Industry of Ukraine.
