On February 9, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with a bipartisan delegation of the U.S. House of Representatives led by Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner, who arrived in Kyiv.
The President's Office reported on the results of the meeting, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
Zelensky thanked the Republican and Democratic parties for supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and emphasized "the critical importance of Congress passing an aid package for Ukraine."
"We cannot stop in our fight against the aggressor. For this struggle to be effective, we need the support of our allies, especially the United States. I am convinced that the decision to allocate the necessary assistance to Ukraine will be made by the Congress," Zelensky was quoted as saying.
The President also told the congressmen about the situation on the front line the needs of the Armed Forces, in particular in air defense systems, and the prospects for joint production of modern drones and electronic warfare equipment in Ukraine.
