Explosions were reported online in Rostov and Voronezh

In the Russian Federation, on the night of May 1, explosions occurred in Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh. Representatives of local authorities in the latter city spoke of the threat of attacks using drones.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram of the Governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, and Russian publics.

The explosion in the Voronezh region occurred at approximately 02:20 local time.

Shortly before that, the head of the Voronezh region said that the danger of a UAV attack had been "declared on the territory of the region."

"Please remain calm. Air defense forces are on alert," the official said. Stay tuned for further updates from the regional government or the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

Information about the nighttime explosion in the city was also reported by the Russian edition Astra.

"Residents of Voronezh report explosions," the publication says.

Meanwhile, the Telegram channel "News of Rostov-on-Don" wrote about explosions heard in the area of the settlement.

"Locals report hearing a loud bang in Severny and Voenved. No official information has been received," the publication said.
