The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, believes that Russia's war against Ukraine will not end "soon", but stressed that the EU will support Ukraine until the end of hostilities.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to DW.

Speaking at the session of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh on April 28, Borrell said that shortly before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, in January 2022, he visited Donbas and met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

According to Borrell, he was informed by the Ukrainian government that they were preparing for an invasion of the Russian Federation and asked about a possible reaction from the EU - whether Brussels would call on Ukraine to surrender or provide the necessary weapons for defense. The diplomat said that he could not answer this question at the time, but after the start of hostilities, as is known, the EU began to support Kyiv.

Europeans "won't go and die for Donbas," Borrell said, but "they could help Ukrainians to stop dying for Donbas." According to him, the EU will provide assistance to Ukraine until the end of the war, although "unfortunately, this will not happen soon."

To believe it, there must be 10 times more help! Modern air defense, long-range missiles, etc.

And, most importantly, help must be continuous, otherwise it will be of no use.
