The US announced a new military aid package for Ukraine

The United States will provide Ukraine with weapons as part of a new $400 million military aid package.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the White House and the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak and the press service of the Pentagon.

The text states that Biden ordered Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to allocate $400 million for Ukraine's needs.

At the same time, the White House website does not indicate which weapons will be transferred to Ukraine.

It should be noted that this is the second package of military aid to Ukraine from the US after Congress allocated money for it at the end of April.

According to Yermak, Ukraine will receive missiles for Patriot, NASAMS, anti-aircraft missiles Stinger, ammunition for HIMARS and artillery, equipment, and other things from the USA.

The Pentagon specified that the $400 million package included:

  • additional ammunition for Patriot air defense systems;
  • additional ammunition for NASAMS;
  • anti-aircraft missiles Stinger;
  • equipment for the integration of Western launchers, missiles, and radars with Ukrainian systems;
  • additional HIMARS and ammunition;
  • 155-mm and 105-mm artillery shells;
  • Bradley infantry fighting vehicles;
  • M113 armored personnel carriers;
  • vehicles with protection against mines and ambushes (MRAP);
  • trailers for transporting heavy equipment;
  • missiles with optical guidance (TOW);
  • Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
  • high-precision aviation ammunition;
  • high-speed anti-radar missiles (HARM);
  • small arms and additional ammunition for small arms and grenades;
  • ammunition and equipment for clearing obstacles;
  • coastal and river patrol boats;
  • means of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear protection;
  • spare parts, training ammunition, maintenance, and other support equipment.
