May 14, 2024

Great Britain has undertaken to allocate three billion pounds, which is equivalent to more than 3.7 billion dollars, to the military support of Ukraine every year. On Monday, May 13, the ambassador of Great Britain to Ukraine, Martin Harris, announced this on the air of the telethon.

"We were the first country to sign a new security agreement. But now we are the first country to identify funding to implement this agreement,” Harris said.

The ambassador emphasized that 3.7 billion dollars — this is only military support, and it will last for ten years.

"And this is very important, because it shows that we have a long-term perspective and that we are here not only now, this year, but we will always be close to Ukraine," the diplomat said.

Earlier, it was reported that Great Britain and Ukraine had started negotiations on a 100-year partnership.

And at the end of April, Great Britain allocated a record 500 million pounds for weapons for Ukraine. Among other things, this pack includes 1,600 different missiles.
