Former US President Donald Trump has said that if he wins this year's presidential election, he will demand that European countries play a more active role in helping Ukraine amid a full-scale Russian invasion.
He said this in an interview with Time magazine.
When asked whether he would continue military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, Trump replied: “I'm going to try to help Ukraine, but Europe also has to keep up and do its job.” He also added that European countries “are not paying their fair share.”
The former US president also commented on the statements of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. After meeting with Trump in March, he said that he would not give a penny to Ukraine if re-elected.
