400 international companies joined the "investment coalition"
Ukraine is forming an international coalition for investment in Ukraine called the Ukraine business compact.
According to Yevropeiska Pravda, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said this at a press conference on the results of the Ukraine Recovery international conference.
According to him, 400 international companies have already joined the Ukraine business compact coalition for investment in Ukraine.
To make businesses feel more confident in Ukraine, the government plans to restart the insurance market.
"We understand that in order to restore private investment, we need to create an effective and efficient instrument for insuring military risks. Together with the EU, Norway, Switzerland, and the EBRD, we have signed an agreement to work together in this direction. We will restart the insurance market," Shmyhal said.
He added that Ukraine already has a victory on this path.
"The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency [MIGA] of the World Bank Group has started providing war risk insurance guarantees in Ukraine. A corresponding agreement has been signed with the German banking holding ProCredit," the head of the Ukrainian government noted.
