The partners promised to continue providing financial assistance to Ukraine until the end of 2024. They are expected to provide $15 billion.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
According to the ministry, the team of the Ministry of Finance, headed by Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko, took part in the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank. In particular, Ukrainian officials held a number of meetings with international financial leaders, including finance ministers of the G7 countries and the European Union.
They also held a ministerial roundtable in support of Ukraine, and discussed a $50 billion loan from the G7 countries to be repaid from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets and the implementation of projects to support Ukraine.
“By the end of this year, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine expects to attract more than USD 15 billion of external financing. Our partners have assured us that they will provide support in full,” the Ministry said.
The Ministry also reminded that next year Ukraine expects to receive €12.5 billion in financial assistance from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility.
