The first peace summit demonstrated worldwide support for the principles of the United Nations (UN) in ending the war in Ukraine. At the same time, there is another principle, according to which there can be no dialogue on Kyiv without its participation.
This was stated by British Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Harris in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
“The fact that almost 100 countries attended the peace summit in Switzerland shows that there is worldwide support for these UN principles, and this should be the basis for a just peace here in Ukraine,” the ambassador said.
He added that in general, all countries should adhere to the main principles of the United Nations in ending the war in Ukraine. In particular, this is discussed in the course of the dialog with China, India or other members of the Group of Twenty (G20).
