63% of Latvians consider the war in Ukraine to be the main problem of the European Union.
This is stated in a recent Eurobarometer poll, Delfi reports.
For Latvians, the war in Ukraine tops the list of EU problems. For comparison, in other EU countries, only 50% of residents named it.
The problem of high cost of living was mentioned by 36% of Latvians, and 32% of respondents in the EU. Terrorism and security issues were also mentioned as one of the main problems, which were noted by 30% of Latvians and 26% of EU residents.
The environment and climate change were named as a problem by only 16% of Latvians, while 35% of EU residents named it as one of the main problems of the European Union.
35% of Latvians identified migration as an EU problem, while 41% of EU respondents identified it as a problem in the EU.
