After Zelensky, Erdogan called Putin

On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan proposed to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that a joint commission be set up to investigate the events at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

This was reported by the Turkish leader's office following his telephone conversation with Putin, Yevropeiska Pravda reports.

During the conversation, Erdogan emphasized the importance of a comprehensive investigation of the explosion at the Kakhovka dam in such a way that there is no room for doubt.

"Erdogan said that a commission could be set up with the participation of Russian and Ukrainian experts, the UN, and the international community, including Turkey, and that Turkey is ready to contribute in this context," the statement said.

The Turkish leader also discussed the implementation of the grain deal with Putin and promised to make the necessary efforts to establish a just peace.
