Azerbaijan has announced the launch of "local anti-terrorist measures" in unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh, which is considered an internationally recognized part of Azerbaijan.

According to Yevropeiska Pravda, this was stated in a statement by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry on September 19.

According to the statement, the measures were taken to ensure the provisions of the Tripartite Statement, stop large-scale provocations in the Karabakh Economic Region, disarm and withdraw the Armenian armed forces from our territories, neutralize their military infrastructure, and ensure the safety of civilians.

According to the Ministry, as part of the measures, high-precision weapons are being used on the front line and in the depths to disable the positions of the Armenian armed forces, their long-term firing points, as well as military equipment and military facilities.

The command of the Russian Federation's "peacekeeping contingent" and the leadership of the Joint Turkish-Russian Monitoring Center were informed of the measures, the statement said.

"We reiterate that civilians and civilian infrastructure are not targets, only legitimate military targets are being disabled," the statement said.
