US President Joe Biden has said that European allies are ready to cut investments in China if Beijing continues to support Russia, issuing a warning after NATO accused China of facilitating Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
According to Yevropeiska Pravda, Bloomberg reports.
The American leader noted that Beijing does not supply weapons to Moscow, but also emphasized that China will not benefit financially "if they supply Russia with information and capabilities."
According to him, Chinese President Xi Jinping believes that China is a large enough market to "lure any country, including European countries, to invest there in exchange for commitments from Europe."
"Some of our European friends will reduce their investments (if China continues its assistance)," Biden emphasized.
As a reminder, the decision of the NATO summit held on July 9-11 in Washington, DC, called China a decisive force contributing to Russia's war against Ukraine.
