U.S. President Joe Biden believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin has "definitely" weakened after the coup attempt by the private military company Wagner and is losing the war in Ukraine.

Biden said this during a meeting with journalists on Wednesday, answering questions from CNN.

The US president first said that it was "hard to say" whether Putin's position had really shaken after the coup attempt, "but he is clearly losing the war."

"He is losing the war in his country. He has become a pariah around the world. And it's not just NATO, it's not just the European Union, it's Japan," Biden added.

When asked again whether Putin is weaker today compared to last week, Biden replied: "I know he is."

Earlier, Biden said that the United States had nothing to do with the coup and was observing these internal affairs of the Russian Federation.

As a reminder, official Beijing commented on the military mutiny of PMC leader Vagner Prigozhin on Sunday, June 25. The statement was made by a representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. In fact, China managed to comment a day after the completion of the "raid on Moscow." Nothing unexpected - China reiterated its full support for fascist Russia, and in relation to the coup, emphasized the importance of national stability.

"This is Russia's internal affair. As a friendly neighbor of Russia and a comprehensive strategic partner in coordinating actions in the new era, China supports Russia in maintaining national stability and achieving development and prosperity," said a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman.
