The United Kingdom has added 11 new tankers to its sanctions list that are associated with the transportation of oil or oil products from Russia to third countries.
The British government announced this on its official website, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
The government explained that the sanctions were imposed against vessels involved in activities whose purpose or effect is to destabilize, undermine, or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, or independence of Ukraine.
All of these vessels are involved in the transportation of oil or oil products originating in Russia to third countries. These vessels fly the flags of Panama, Gabon, and the Cook Islands.
These vessels, as well as their masters or pilots, are prohibited from accessing British ports. The registration of tankers in the UK Ship Register may be suspended. The masters and pilots of these vessels may be ordered to detain them.
