The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is aware of attempts to assassinate Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. There have been attempts to assassinate the Kremlin leader, but so far, they have been unsuccessful.
This was stated by the head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, RBC-Ukraine reports citing his interview with NV.
"They (attempts to assassinate Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin - ed.) were made, but, as you can see, they have also failed so far," Budanov said.
Asked if Putin is not such a compromising figure for his environment and "an arbitrator who suits everyone," he said that "it hasn't been about compromise for a long time."
In this context, the chief Ukrainian intelligence officer recalled the stories of his grandmother, who witnessed the death of Joseph Stalin.
"She said that people thought their whole world had collapsed, and they didn't know how to live. Putin has been in power for more than 20 years, so it will be a very similar feeling, and now Russians are afraid of losing him because he is the guarantor of their life stability," Budanov added.-
