Ukraine can receive from Bulgaria its stockpiles of shells that have been recognized as surplus, as well as other military equipment, if these supplies are compensated by allied countries.
This was stated by Bulgaria's acting Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov, according to BNR.
According to Zapryanov, the analysis of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense revealed “what is redundant and unnecessary for the Bulgarian army.”
“Of this property, some ammunition of certain types can be provided to Ukraine. This package will also be linked to an agreement with an ally country on compensation, similar to the previous package we sent,” he added.
Zapryanov noted that the Bulgarian government still has to make a decision on military assistance to Ukraine, then coordinate it with its allies and Kyiv, as well as provide logistics.
