A bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives that would ban the import of enriched Russian uranium into the United States.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bloomberg.
The bill to ban the import of Russian uranium is to be considered next week under an expedited procedure that requires a two-thirds majority.
Support for a ban on imports of nuclear reactor fuel from Russia is growing among both Democrats and Republicans after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
"Its supporters are seeking to tie the measure to binding legislation. If the House of Representatives passes a separate bill, it will make it possible to pass the same law in the Senate," the newspaper writes.
