Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed two agreements in the defense industry. The agreements concern the production of ammunition and Colt assault rifles.
According to RBC-Ukraine, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this during a press conference with his Czech counterpart Petr Fiala.
According to Shmyhal, the meeting with Fiala discussed the supply of new weapons to the Ukrainian army, training and rehabilitation of the military, and new joint projects. Two agreements in the defense industry were also signed.
“Today we have signed two important agreements, among other agreements in the defense industry. A new cartridge factory will be built in Ukraine - the agreement was signed between Sellier & Bellot and Ukroboronservice,” said Shmyhal.
The second agreement signed is the production of assault rifles by Colt CZ Group in Ukraine. This is an agreement between Ceska Zbrojovka and a relevant Ukrainian enterprise. Shmyhal did not specify which one, citing security concerns.
