Acting Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen announced on Monday that they would send Ukraine an additional batch of ammunition amid Russia's full-scale invasion.
Politiken reported this.
The Danish ministers did not disclose the details of the new military aid to Ukraine but clarified that it is ammunition worth about a quarter of a billion Danish kroner (33.5 million euros), including 2,000 artillery shells.
"The situation is such that we all see that an offensive has been announced. It is slowly starting. Ukraine has managed to keep the Russians at bay. Now it is time to respond in kind. To do this, they need to have the necessary capabilities. This also applies to ammunition," commented the Danish Foreign Minister.
The head of the Danish Defense Ministry added that the Danish government continues to discuss Ukraine's military needs.
