Polish President Andrzej Duda has said that he no longer intends to run in any elections.
He said this in an interview with the Polsat TV channel, cited by the PAP.
Duda was asked whether he would be more actively involved in the Law and Justice party's election campaign, which is currently underway in Poland.
"I am not participating in the elections. I think the 2020 presidential election was the last one I participated in. In Poland, it so happened that presidents no longer run for office. I think the same will happen to me," he said.
Duda also previously stated that the words of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki about the termination of military assistance to Ukraine due to the need for rearmament were taken out of context.
