RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is quoted by "Anadolu".

He stated that Turkey has fulfilled all the promises it made to the European Union, but the bloc has fulfilled almost none of its promises.

"Even despite the change of administrations, the unfair and prejudiced attitude of the European Union towards our country, which is incompatible with the principle of loyalty, has not changed... As Turkey, we have no expectations from the European Union, where we have been made to wait for 60 years," he said Erdogan.

The Turkish president said that if the EU abandons the visa regime, which the bloc, according to him, uses as a veiled sanction against Ankara, then it will "correct its own mistakes."

"If not, they will completely lose the right to have any expectations from us politically, socially, economically, and militarily. If they intend to stop the process of acquiring full membership, which has now turned into empty talk, that is also their personal business." - he said.

Erdoğan also added that all the reforms carried out in the last 21 years in the field of rights and freedoms were carried out not because someone wanted it, but because "the nation deserves the best and the most modern".

He also stated that Turkey can no longer tolerate new impositions and new conditions for his country's accession to the EU.
