French President Emmanuel Macron has invited European leaders to Paris next week to discuss proposals to help war-torn Ukraine.
This was announced on Thursday, February 22, by Polish President Andrzej Duda, Bloomberg reports.
"President Macron invited a number of European leaders in a rather ad hoc manner to talk about new proposals and solutions for Ukraine. In addition to Poland, leaders of many countries are invited,” Duda said.
As a reminder, during the summit on February 1, EU leaders approved the allocation of 50 billion euros for Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program for 2024-2027.
Ukraine expects to receive the first payment under the program in the amount of €4.5 billion in March.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine would like to receive €18 billion in the first two years of the program.
