Jul 11, 2023

France has decided to provide Ukraine with missiles that will allow it to strike deep into the enemy's rear.

According to Yevropeiska Pravda, this was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron during the NATO summit in Vilnius.

Speaking to journalists, he announced the decision to provide Ukraine with long-range missiles, without mentioning their name.

"We have decided to provide Ukraine with new missiles that will allow us to strike deep into the enemy's rear. They will be used in accordance with the agreements we have reached," Macron said.

The president added that it is important for France to send Ukraine a signal of support against the backdrop of Russian aggression and NATO's unity.

Macron did not mention the specific name of the weapon, but it is likely to be SCALP air-to-ground missiles, the same ones that are called Storm Shadow in Britain, as they are a Franco-British development.
