Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will take part in the inauguration of Iran's new President Massoud Peseshkian.
This was reported by the Administration of the Government of Georgia, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
The head of the Georgian government received an official invitation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, which supports Russia in the war against Ukraine, to attend the inauguration, the administration said.
They specified that 70 foreign delegations would attend the ceremony.
“The Prime Minister of Georgia has left for Tehran together with the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili,” the government of Georgia, which is seeking to become an EU member, said in a statement.
