Germany promises to respond to Maloney's letter of complaint

The German government promises to respond to a letter from Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, in which she complains to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz about funding for charitable organizations that help illegal migrants in her country.
This is stated in a written comment by the German government spokesperson for the ANSA news agency.
"We can confirm the receipt of a letter from the Italian Prime Minister. The letter will be answered," he said.
The spokesperson did not add anything more about the letter, and on the issue of rescuing civilians at sea, he referred to statements made recently by the German Foreign Ministry.
