Hungary expects Russia's Rosatom to build two new reactors at the Paks nuclear power plant by 2030-2031.
This was reported by Reuters, according to Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
It is noted that he made this statement after a meeting with Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko.
"Paks is the only nuclear power plant in Hungary whose lifespan has been extended until the 2030s after modernization. According to the adopted energy strategy, Budapest wants to increase nuclear power generation in the future.
This project is one of the reasons why Hungary actively opposes any sanctions against Russia's nuclear sector.
