In the spirit of Russian propagandists, the head of the administration of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Gergey Guijas, said that the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not seem to bring "any significant results".
This was reported by the Hungarian service of Radio Liberty.
Guyash said that Ukraine liberated "only" 200 square kilometers of territory, but Russia "captured about the same amount in Donetsk region and Kharkiv region."
He added that "even by the most conservative estimates" at least 310,000 people were killed and wounded in the Russian-Ukrainian war, and more on the side of Russia, although it has larger reserves than Ukraine.
"All of this together indicates that the position of the Hungarian government is justified when it calls for a ceasefire and the earliest possible start of peace talks," Gujjas said.
