US presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke about the moment of the assassination attempt that took place during a campaign event in Pennsylvania.
He said this in an interview with the New York Post, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
In particular, Trump reflected on how he managed to survive the assassination attempt.
"I shouldn't be here. I should have been dead. By luck or by God, a lot of people say it's because of God that I'm still here," Trump said, showing the journalist a large bruise on his right forearm, which he said he received when agents rushed to the stage to protect him.
He also said that he wanted to continue speaking after being injured, but the Secret Service insisted that he go to the hospital.
"I just wanted to keep talking, but I just got shot," he said.-
Trump also said he appreciated the call he received from President Joe Biden.
He called it "wonderful" and "very nice."
