RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to Novosti Georgia.

According to the publication, the court confirmed that it had accepted for consideration a petition signed by 80 deputies from the Georgian Dream.

The President of the country was accused of allegedly violating the Constitution.

The Constitutional Court is to give its opinion within a month from September 14. If the court confirms that the constitution has been violated, the issue will be returned to Parliament for a vote.

To approve the impeachment, 100 votes are needed. There are not enough votes yet, as there are only 84 MPs from the ruling party in the parliament.
