Iran and Belarus sign a military cooperation plan for the current year, as well as a memorandum of understanding between the defense ministries.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Iranian state news agency IRNA.
"Iran and Belarus signed a military cooperation plan for 2023, as well as a memorandum of understanding between the defense ministries. The documents were signed during the visit of Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin to the Islamic Republic and following his talks with the Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces of Iran, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani," the statement said.
It is noted that the Iranian Defense Minister said during the meeting that the two countries' views on various regional and international issues coincided, adding that "Belarus occupies a special place in Iran's foreign policy."
