Italian government spokesman Giorgi Meloni said on Friday that Italy plans to contribute to efforts to restore the Odesa Cathedral, which was bombed by the Russian army.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by ANSA.
In a statement, Meloni said that the Italian government has attracted two of the most authoritative cultural centers of the country - the Milan Triennale and the MAXXI Museum in Rome - to "gather the best economic, technical and cultural resources that can contribute to the restoration of the Transfiguration Cathedral (in Odesa - ed.)."
On July 23, a delegation of the Commission on Foreign Affairs and Communities of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic visited Odesa to see the consequences of the nighttime missile attack.
