On Wednesday, the Lithuanian government allocated another 7 million euros for priority national defense systems.
This was reported by LRT.
The funds will be allocated to the Ministry of Defense to finance military mobility projects, military and civilian infrastructure necessary for NATO allies to arrive in Lithuania, as well as other national defense projects related to the development of defense capabilities.
At the end of June, the government allocated an additional 136 million euros, bringing the financing of defense needs this year to 3.03% of GDP.
Last week, Lithuanian Finance Minister Gintare Skyste said that this year's funding could be increased, depending on the needs of the Defense Ministry.
