A military plane has crashed in Armenia, killing two crew members.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Yevropeiska Pravda reports.
The incident occurred on Friday, July 19, near the town of Eghvard, which is about 20 kilometers from Yerevan. The alarm signal was received at 9:30 am.
At first, the Armenian Ministry of Defense said that an An-2 plane had crashed, but later clarified that it was a Yak-52.
An operational group of the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one combat unit of the fire and rescue detachment, and rescue and operational teams arrived at the scene.
