On Thursday, July 20, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis accepted copies of credentials from the new German Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Jaeger.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
Perebyinis informed the diplomat about the current situation in Ukraine in the context of countering Russian aggression and noted the importance of the large-scale assistance received from Germany.
For his part, Jaeger assured of Germany's continued support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and emphasized the German government's readiness to further strengthen military, economic, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
Jaeger will replace Anka Feldhusen, who has been working in Kyiv since 2019.
