The Pentagon has signed a contract with the U.S. defense company Global Military Products to purchase and supply Ukraine with Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft systems. The contract is worth more than $118 million.
This is reported with reference to the website of the U.S. Department of Defense.
"Global Military Products Inc,* Tampa, Florida, was awarded an $118,375,740 firm-fixed-price contract for the purchase and delivery of Gepard 35 mm air defense systems," the statement said.
Work will be performed in Jordan, and the funds for it were allocated from "Fiscal 2010 Foreign Military Sales (Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative) funds"
The delivery date of the Gepard systems to Ukraine is scheduled for May 30, 2024.
